General & Others How did Luffy manage to end up at the same point as the Supernovas (Shabondy) when they set sail 2.4 years before him?

Not everyone moves at the same pace. Luffys in a huge rush to become pirate king while the others aren’t and you have to include the fact the others could have ran into the navy way more then luffy did on his journey.

Shacky said the supernovas were all found in Shabondy at the same time so I don't think he took any breaks on the island.

There's definitely a million variations to explain this with how they spent their time, islands have completely different times for the log to set and the Strawhats have also deviated from their starting log path.

Ace mentioned Kidd in the South, Law in the North and Bege in the West.
Those seas are much more dangerous than East Blue, so it probably took more time to them.

Yeah, Luffy and the straw hats wasn’t just good, he got lucky time and time again.

He found Zoro right before his execution and Sanji was just chilling out on his ship he rolled the lottery and hit the jackpot with those two powerhouses right at the start.

The strawhats were in a rush, so to speak. They avoided most of the islands, only going to destinations of interest to them or moved by the plot. In addition, some others like the ones mentioned by others on this thread: East Blue being the easiest, the other supernova planned ahead, etc.

Always thinked that they skiped much of the Grand Line by going to Skypea, after the arc traveling by the White Sea and falling with the octopus.

Jaya seems to be in the early part of the GL while W7 seems very close to Marineford and the Red Line.
