I never cared the fruit being goffy the big problem is the wank around it and how "specia"l the fruit became

A year ago we finally got Gear 5 aka Monkey Disney Looney-Tunes

What was your reaction and feelings back then? And did it change?
Are you happy or satisfied with G5?

Personally, I still despise G5 reveal being Nika Nika and how the fight became a comical battle.
I am kinda okay if there's no cartoonist sfx and gags. And if Luffy isn't laughing all the time.

I don't like the fact that Luffy fruit turned into a Zoan. That was never hinted before and there was no reason for it to be anything other than paramecia. I could accept it if G5 used something unique to zoans to make for it but NOPE, it's basically the rubber castle awakening that we're expecting with a little more sfx. To be honest, it would actually be easier to accept that Luffy is a Logia (body turned into natural rubber, can create infinite rubber to expand and increase size and so on) than that he is a zoan.

I don't like the Nika bullshit.

Outside of lore, G5 is not that bad. It's basically how he fought before the time skip so I can't complain. I just think that it actually looks like a downgrade compared with G4 in power but with the benefit of added versatility.
