It has never been implied that immortality surgery was an awakened ability. If I’m not wrong, doffy wanted Law to do it back in dressrosa.
Since Law is now awakened, how does that effect immortality surgery?
My guess is that since Re-Room doesn’t cover Law, but instead another person, Law could use immortality surgery in Re-Room by sacrificing another person’s life instead of his.
The caveat to this is since Law is a doctor, he doesn’t actually enjoy killing people, something he actually stated when he fought Hawkins.
Not to mention this would obviously be able to be blocked by haki.
My guess is we will only see Law do this once. He will sacrifice Doflamingo to give himself immortality ahead of the final war.
As we have seen, Law has no qualms about killing Doffy and I doubt Doffy’s haki is that strong.
Not only would this be an extremely logical power up for him to acquire EoS, it would be oddly poetic since Doffy wanted Law to die so that Doffy could become immortal.
