The most common function is letting it out undirectedly and radially. The weak's minds get broken by it. Animals get tamed, fodder faints. Stronger ones get intimidated/overwhelmed.
The step towards an advanced application is manipulating the flow. This means directing it towards specific individuals or forming it to use it in an other way.
We've seen two feats of adv CoC so far
- infusion of body and objects
- probably concentration of it. Thus forming a protective bubble that protects the user from the eyes and senses/ CoO of someone else. Thus disabling CoO.
Future uses? My bets are
- radiating it just like the basic form but with much much more force or in a way that air pressure, weather, etc. change. We've seen weather influences before.
- protective bubble against physical harm and df abilities in general (CoC > regular haki application shown by law last chapter)
- suppressing one's own df powers (soul of df or whatever), thus not being affected by its drawbacks such as sea stone and water
