I didnt dislike Momo, but after he become old It ruined the character for me, expecially If he keep being a adult in the future, as he seems to be, together with Vivi and Shirahoshi, a important characters for the Dawn.
He could be developed in a way were Luffy would be for him what Shanks was for Luffy, this big inspiration to grow up better.
The moments of Zoro training and Momo being with him were cool also, that was another relationship Oda should have developed more, as even if Zoro isnt a Wano-samurai, he was trained in the Wano way of swordsmanship, so who better to teach the future Shogun than the "shimotsuki heir", would be a cool way to develop not just Momoo, but also Zoro, as he is in a lvl now were he is strong enough to inspire future generations.
A third relationship i feel lame that Oda didnt developed is Momo and Robin, with Robin teaching Momo the poneglyph language, as Oden was supposed to do, would be cool if Oda gave small glimpses since Zou of Momo starting to want to learn the language from Robin.
If Oda have done some panels of Zoro group early arrival in Wano with Zoro traning the fire-style and Momo being with him, Robin teaching him some basics of ancient language and pehaps even Franky/Ussop trying to teach he to build things as a connection with Wano having a history with It, making the Kairoseki, Poneglyphs, Great Swords and pehaps even Noah, would be a great way to connect he more with the main characters, that are ones we cara about, not the Nine Sad Scabbards
Sad that Momo could have been better developed, but Oda chose to show the amazing gifters and the super cool Wano side characters that no one give a fuck.
If he have his hour of legend i coudnt care less.
