Of course there is...and Shanks/luffy will be connected as well...
Something people need to remember is that Kidd was going after Shanks long before he lost his arm..
Remember in the sbs we found out Victoria died due to gang violence? Anyone want to take a guess, as to, who was involved with those gangs?
Kidd and Shanks have never shared any prolonged direct dialogue. Oda has done that intentionally. The first time they speak face to face will be quite interesting.
Loki will obviously play a role in Kidd getting his revenge.
Why would Oda have Loki offer to Luffy that he'll destroy any pirate if he frees him...Someone will take up that offer from Loki, it won't be luffy, it will be Kidd.
And also it was funny how ppl were clowning me, because i said Shanks would be the catalycst for a fight vs Luffy. Loki joked around about Shanks for one minute and Luffy swung on Loki WHILE HE WAS CHAINED.
If kidd/luffy ever talk about Shanks, 100% a fight to the end is happening.
And as others have mentioned on this forum...He's the only other supernova in existence with conqueror haki and devil fruit awakening. He's going to go crazy on Elbaf.
It's been fun seeing people start realize that this will be his arc. Even outside of this forum.

I think the issue is that if Kidd returns and trains I think he will rival Luffy for the one piece, and if he has to team up with Loki to defeat Shanks, that would take a while longer to get to,

Like maybe Kidd and Loki do not ally but both attack Shanks, Luffy fight Loki, and Kidd fights Shanks, and then maybe Luffy thinks something bad happened to Shanks while he fought Loki, but Kidd onyl defeats Shanks and doesn't harm him, out of empathy for others and for Luffy,

Sure but Loki not only considers himself the SunGod but the giants beleive he will end the world if he ever manages to escape again,that's some portrayal quite a margin above a guy who contributed half of Bm's defeat and was basically oneshotted by Shanks.
Also Loki is portrayed as a conqueror and someone who won't be joining or allying with anyone other than the Sun God himself if you've been paying attention.
