Speculations How likely of Zoro vs Shank

Shank seems to be a stepping stone for Zoro before getting Mihawk attention. This perfectly align with Zoro ambition since Shank is a swordman.

Luffy should deal with BlackBeard, Papazuki, and Imu, and leave Shank and Mihawk for Zoro.

However, given that Oda don't have any ball left with him, he will just draw Wano 2 for Zoro.

With this, what chance do you think Zoro will fight Shank?

Shanks is for Luffy to defeat, Mihawk is for Zoro. Though when Luffy is beating Shanks Zoro will most likely be fighting Beckman, the very reason Beckman is supposed to be moon to Shank's sun.

Besides there’s no narrative reason for Zoro to even clash with shanks.

0%. I don't even see how people come out with this idea. Do you think Shanks will be used as a minor tool for Zoro to reach his dream or maybe, just maybe, he will be used for a greater purpose? He will be one of the focal points (probably along with BB and of course Luffy) of EoS events, Oda will not expend his humongous hype to just be an appetizer for Zoro before Mihawk lol
