Shanks vs Luffy is happening?..

I would even dare claim that the MAIN reason why Imu left Marijoa is so Oda can make Luffy vs Shanks happen..

Shanks would not predict in a Million years that Imu could possibly leave Marijoa.. Even the Gorosei bar Garling
were in shock at Imu's intention..

And even though Shanks lost his arm, and Imu's Mark, he didn't lose his Shallow Covenant, the source of his contract
is in his heart like S ommers..



Unbeknownst to Shanks, he will somehow step inside Imu's range in Elbaph, which Imu will detect instantly, and he will be forced to fight Luffy and whoever is
in his path..





Get ready Ladies and Gentlemen, Shanks vs Luffy is happening.. :BigW::kata:

It's mostly speculation.. But at least it's heavily implied with the panel i provided that to defeat a God Knight like S ommers your need to destroy his steel heart.. Might be different for the Devoted Blades.. However it makes perfect sense for Shanks to still have his Covenant through his heart..

I don't think a fight is impossible, and would be cool storywise. I still don't really see it, especially with Shamrock introduced. Also, I don't think the fighting styles match up well.

Yes it will happen after Elbaf or at least after Luffy sends Imu back to Mary Geoise.

It will be akin to Roger vs Whitebeard.

They will spar and Luffy will show he is finally on par with Shanks after his growth on Elbaf.

Then comes the celebrations, party, eating, and drinking.

Then finally a serious talk about WG etc.

Then they part ways.

Shanks will meet with Teach to convince him that they have to band together, all of Yonko to defeat Imu and the World Government.

But Teach has other plans and will kill Shanks and co.
