I have to reread Egghead to be honest. I am starting my Egghead reread today.
I think One Piece has approximately 150-200 chapters left, at maximum.
At this rate,
We will face these Gods Knights another time obviously after the initial Gunko face off. I'm predicting the Gods Knights as the sole enemies in Elbaf for this reason. I also think that the introduction of Saint Figarland Garling as the new Head of Science will have implications during this arc as well.
I am looking forward to how Oda will expand Elbaf's culture, and the backstory of the deal King Harold made with the Tenryuubito and the Gods Knights,

Not terrible but the Marines have zero reason to publicly announce the execution of Law or Barto like they did for Ace. They could just quietly and secretly execute them if that’s what they wanted to do, killing them would have no effect on the world of piracy which is what they tried to accomplish with Ace.
