There are currently 7 volumes officially released of wano. With enough chapters to realse the 8th.

How much more do you think we have left?
For a comparison the water 7 saga lasted 12 volumes, dressrosa 10, skypia saga 9, and whole cake 7

We know chapter 1000 will be in volume 99 and assuming thats gonna start of luffy vs kaido were definitely not too far from the end. Also assuming the fight last 20~30 chapters were all the other side fight start and end between that time like usual. And maybe a volume dedicated to the post onigashima cool down.

Considering all that we probably got 4/5 volumes left of wano imo
We still need the dedicated villain volumes too

Go back to every single arc in the series where Oda has used the "time bimb" plot point of "the villain is gonna win real quickly if we don't do the thing in this amount of time". This plot point appears HALF WAY into the arc.

The fact that the Island lifting ting has just happened indicates to me that we recently just passed half way.

We have about 60-70 chapters left in this arc.

Have you noted that we're just beginning to go into proper matchups while being almost 30 chapters deep into the raid? The Katakuri fight in itself was around 15-16 chapters, ain't no way we defeat at least a yonko and account for the other matchups in just 20 chapters.

Not to forget the post raid content will be around 10 chapters in itself.

Once we get "The Villains", then we're at the end game. Typically its "The Villains." "The Heroes." "Clash" "Aftermath" style of volume overs. Since we're already in the "Time Bomb" part of the arc etc. Wedding Cake, Birdcage, Noah, Sunlight,I feel around 40 chapters max.

Honestly idk , unless Shanks is present in Wano it would be disappointing for Oda to hype up his "move" to only be 2-3 chapters of interludes

Didn't Oda hype up something happening with Sabo Boa and Vivi in the last jump festa? And then people got the idea that Sabo is coming to Wano?

Ad then othing has happened all year and their involvement remains purely in the background of shit happening in Reverie interludes

Trust me, if we even get One clear Stated goal from Shanks, tgeitenetwil go wild. I do received expect a full chapter of shanks. Just half a chapter where Shanks reveals "I'm going to do X and Y". That would be enough shanks hype to last years

Act 3 is ending soon. It was advertised with 994. Thus that means there is an Act 4 that likely covers all the battles. Arcs got a ways to go

The Kaido fight that happens after everyone else is defeated will be ~10 chapters, based on how Oda’s done final fights in the past.

That’s the bit we know for sure about. Conservative guess of 20 chapters for pure fights, or can get pushed up to 30. I’d be very surprised if there was anything substantially more than that,

-flashbacks. Yamato is likely to get another, Kaido will probably get one like BM did on WCI. Kid? Zoro? Both possible
-are there going to be other fights shown apart from the Beast Pirates ones? There’s the Perospero one, what about Hawkins? Fukurokujo? Hotei? The Numbers?
-how long will the post-fights part of the arc be? I’m expecting at least a volume, given that this will serve as the conclusion to a huge plotline, and the beginning of the final one.
-are the fights about to start properly, or will there be movement to the mainland? Are all the fights (except for Kaido) happening on Onigashima?
-what the hell is going to happen to BM? Resolved as part of the Kaido fight, or something else entirely?
-interlude chapters?

If after 1000 we are ready to get immediately into to the fights, and either Page One or Ulti is defeated in the next five chapters, then we should see Wano wrapped up by this time next year, At the very least, the battle will be over and we’ll be in the celebratory end of the arc. Could be done in 4.5 volumes,

If there’s even more setting up to be done after 1000 and Page One/Ulti aren’t defeated until about chapter 1010, then we’re looking at five or six volumes left.

I think you are on the money on this, but to be fair, Oda likes to draw a ton of random skirmishing first before he dedicates most of a chapter to a fight. I expect this type of bouncing around until each fight is solidified. Then I expect a decent number of chapters with skirmishing between each matchup.


Only after this, will he probably dedicate the 1-2 chapters to making each fall. We've frankly still barely seen anything from most of the F6 aside from Ulti, nothing from King and basically nothing substantial from Queen/Jack (their hybrids, full strength), so Imo we need a bit more characterization before he spends time taking everyone out.

Exactly. I don't think Oda will choose the villains cover for volume 100 so it will go like this imo: "Scabbards vs Kaido (98)" "The Villains. (99)" "The Heroes. (100)" "Clash/Climax (101)" "Aftermath (102)".
