Powers & Abilities How much of a difference does sword grade make?

#1
What the title said.

How strong is Mihawk with a Supreme Grade compared to Mihawk with a Great Grade / Skillful Grade / Graded Sword / normal sword?

Imo there should be gaps. Swords make swordsman stronger so better swords should mean better swordsman. Imo id say if a swordman is 100% with a supreme grade sword then they should lose about 5% every grade they go down. So if they go from supreme grade to a normal sword it should be about a 20% decrease in power. Swords are important but overall other abilities far out class just the sword in op. So pretty much in the case of mihawk with yoru vs mihawk with a normal sword then yoru mihawk should high diff normal sword mihawk as he should get decently weaker.

marginal difference.
to me it always seems like this.
its the different attributes of the blades that matter most.

shusui is heavy and therefore delivers more powerful blows.
wado is quicker.
both have the same grade.

we saw how different shusui behaved compared to wado when used for pound ho.

so it depends on what you want from your blade. even sandai may be a better blade under some circumstances where bloodlust is a desirable trait.
