Years ago, a son of my mother's friend was watching that Don Ancino anime filler arc. We both would have been primary school age back then.

Years later in secondary school, I once saw a girl that had a One Piece themed pencil case featuring the Straw Hat crew.

That is all.

1 is a true fan (and also a younger brother of my friend's close friend).
Another one is my acquaintance who simply a bookworm and happens to read OP from time to time. He doesn't like it too much, but is kinda invested in what is going on.

I don't have many anime/manga fans irl (hence why I hang out on the forum), and even those friends who like it, don't like the same titles I do.

Never. I don't think I ever met someone IRL who likes One Piece. The few people I know that like animes thinks One Piece is too long so they don't even try.

Quite often, anytime I'm discussing the show in public with a friend, random strangers are almost guaranteed to chime in. It's nothing special, anime is mainstream now.

All the time, but I never feel like discussing it in detail with them.

Idk why, because I love discussing HBO shows, etc... Maybe I'm prejudiced against anime fans, and think 95% of them just watch cause "ZORO COOL, YONKO AWESOME!, ANIME FLASHY".

Usually on a forum, you can just scroll by that kinda stuff and ignore it.
