Given that Saturn is at least 200 years old, how old are the others? Are some from the void century?

Also, did Saturn really get replace because he failed, or because Garling showed much more potential. Maybe, if a normal celestial shows more potential, imu replaces a current gorosei.

Imo you only get made into a Gorosei if one of the 5 fails so hard Imu gets pissed. Maybe, 200 years ago when Mariejois was attacked the acting Gorosei failed and Saturn got made into one while already an old man, just like Garling rn.

The others could be from way back during the Void Century technically, though I think none of them actaully are that old. I don't think they've been witnesses to the VC.

Saturn was likely already a gorosei when emeth attacked.

And Saturn wasn't replaced for a regular failure, he was replaced because he let joy boy escape, who hadn't been awakened in 800 years.

I think that the Gorosei are of different ages, each older than the average person. Whenever the World Government possesses the Op-Op Fruit, they arrange for the strongest Holy Knight of that era to be made immortal and become one of the Gorosei.

I also think they are from different periods of time but knowing Oda, he will make Peter the Jew as the oldest and TopGoat or Saturn as the youngest...

It is probably linked to how their numbering works. Saturn looked to be the oldest and was 5. Ju Peter seems to be the youngest and he was 1.

It will be interesting to see if Garling has a 5 on his summoning circle, or if the numbers get shuffled around.

Ancient Robot invade Marie Jois or God Valley incident could be one of the reason Ju Peter got appointed. Imu might blame on of the Gorosei for the failure of defeating Ancient Robot during the void century and too many D. survived in God Valley.
