Years ago when I first moved to the new state my roommate introduced me to some of his friends. We had a big group hangout (ah pre-pandemic times) to then afterwards we were invited to my now spouse’s apartment in the same complex. As we were touring his place I noticed his One Piece stickers and we struck up a conversation. On my was out he asked for my Snapchat. During our first date I asked him what sparked his interest in me and turns out he had made a promise to himself that if he ever met a cute girl who likes One Piece he’d ask her out. It’s been a crazy journey since that first date I’ve never been happier. To my fellow guys out there ask that cute girl who also like One Piece out.
