How To Access X/Twitter in Brazil

#1
You can use either Sotwe or a Nitter instance if you only want to read something.

To use a Nitter instance:
1. Go to a public Nitter instance.
2. Enter the Twitter handle or URL of the profile or tweet you want to view.
3. Browse the content.

If you want to use the platform directly, you should use a good VPN that doesn't log any of your data, like Mullvad or Proton (has a free tier), and avoid sharing any information on X that can be directly linked to you. Tor is also a good option.

This topic here?

It's serious enough that it may need its own thread outside of the general politics thread depending on the actual percentage of people in Brazil that browse Twitter.

Someone here mentioned fines for getting caught browsing Twitter with a VPN in Brazil and while that may/may not actually happen, it's not a guarantee that there won't be some sort of consequence for getting caught with it.

Can its alternatives be a suitable replacement?

i heared u can tetect alts..and u can never be foooled..
A social media site that millions of people use daily is much more difficult for the working staff to pretend being Big Brother compared to a small forum that has < 100 active members on average.

It wasn't the first time where I witnessed someone's IP and their actual address get tracked on a forum so the extra layer of privacy protection from a VPN still helps.
