I put various options in a poll. Since Imu so clearly outclasses the fuck out of Luffy, how is Oda going to give Luffy a consolation victory before this arc ends?

With Zoro and Sanji having matchups it would be weird for Luffy to not get his own win this arc. But how will Oda do it

Imu gets nerfed by HKs death + Gunko
That's not gonna happen, Imu's not gonna get weaker, if anything he should get stronger, he didn't get weaker when he killed Saturn (took his powers).
Luffy gets a random situational power up
Could be likely, there's a 30% chance of it happening.
Imu fucks off after HKs die and someone else fights Luffy
That doesn't make sense to happen, nobody else is on that level unless of course they get some kind of reverse dominion or something like that, but considering the situation Imu needs to eliminate Nika permanently or he'll be a hypocrite for having killed Saturn.
Loki goes full Law and does a suicide attack that nerfs imu
Who knows? He might even manage to nerf Imu a bit so that Imu, in the same nerfed condition as Luffy, ends up fighting him and Luffy wins/kicks him out.
He doesn’t and Luffy enters another timeskip
For Luffy to enter another time jump, Elbaf would have to be taken over by Imu, everyone there dead or fled, and Nika would somehow have to have escaped Imu, who killed Saturn for failing to do that.

Jeez. Let's look at the allies:

- Luffy is cooked. He's actually weaker than Imu thinks because of his time limit and lack of knowledge. Way too many improvements needed to actually win unless Oda's doing his worst.

- Zoro is also at a disadvantage in match up knowledge. Humble Haki experience vs a very experienced guy who can afford to take damage or even just leave if the going gets tough.

- Sanji's powerless against Zaza and out muscled by Killingham. He can't use CoC or rescue the children at this rate unless he gets some help.

- the Straw Hats can probably survive a chapter or two if they don't fight but man, Imu is right there.

- Loki is seriously hurt to the point where he's being protected. Even if he sees a weak spot, he's just too big a target.

- Gaban and Gunko aren't their best and probably have to die to make some impact.

That said, the goals are pretty small. If Zoro cuts the heart of Sommers out, Imu might leave. If Gunko gets in the way and dies, probably the same thing. If Imu really does have a time limit, I'm not sure how they exploit it but altogether they can take a while, or he could just act like any other dumbass villain and declare victory for no reason. It looks like Brook of all people might be relevant. If someone shows up from the outside like Shanks it'd be terrible but the Straw Hats are due for a training arc or something anyway at this point

It´s a reference to this
I understand, but that doesn't mean or prove that he weakened. Imu was controlling Harald when he lost and was defeated by Loki, so the shock and fright when he came back to himself is natural — at least, that's also a reasonable assumption.

And also, the words "every pact has a price for Imu" are too ambiguous — it could indeed be related to him paying a certain price, and that could be his weakening or other things.
