Seriously though, I'm sure they will get some way of flying or at least some more powerful jet boosters to enable them to climb the red line or something.
Maybe they will even get a lift from a giant flying creature like a bird or dragon there funnily enough? The giant egg on rogers ship maybe? Or from Elbaf? Elbaf has its "winged ships" but those are VERY limited ofc.
Vegapunk had all kinds of technology though and imo Franky will replicate it and the Sunny will get a literal giant upgrade in more ways than one in Elbaf.
Hell, Luffy might take a leaf from Garp's book and yeet the Sunny onto the red line whilst in giant form lol, as in he uses a punch in giant form as propulsion to blast the ship through the air.
Oda will find a way somehow for sure. A very chaotic, insane way too, since its Luffy and the SHs as well naturally. Probably something we've not seen before or even thought of somehow.
I'd laugh if Luffy could just stretch his arm from the ocean and pull the ship or at least the crew onto Mary Geoise from there. For all we know, they might have to fight their way from the red port or w/e and climb up via the elevators or their own methods too.
But I'm sure Oda will come up with an epic way for the SHs to get there.
I asked GPT for some ideas too and laughed my ass off already, the Sanji one LOLOLOLOL:
1. Thousand Sunny: Rocket Mode 🚀
- Franky unveils his ultimate secret cola upgrade: the Coup de Burst MAXIMUM—a blast so strong it launches the Sunny vertically up the Red Line like a cork from a champagne bottle.
- Downside: Everyone experiences “Reverse Skypiea” levels of vertigo and Usopp sees God again.
2. Zoro Gets Lost Up 🗺️
- While scouting, Zoro accidentally wanders into a path that just… keeps going upward until he’s somehow at Mary Geoise.
- The crew has no idea how, but they tie the Sunny to him and just let him lead.
- Everyone agrees never to speak of it again.
3. Laboon Catapult Alliance 🐋
- Luffy calls in a favor from Laboon, who rams the Sunny so hard it arcs over the Red Line like a circus act.
- Brook plays epic orchestral music mid-flight while Sanji tries to keep the tea from spilling.
- The Marines report “a flying lion ship screaming YOHOHOHO” over the capital.
4. Nami’s Weather Hack 🌪️
- Using Zeus and her upgraded Climatact, Nami creates a reverse hurricane—a spiraling tower of wind that carries the Sunny straight up like a corkscrew elevator.
- Chopper throws up halfway.
- Luffy says “Wheee!” the entire ride.
5. Sea King Uber 🐉
- Shirahoshi summons the biggest Sea King in history, who simply picks up the Sunny in its mouth and deposits it on the Red Line.
- Celestial Dragons faint instantly at the sight, thinking they’re under a kaiju attack.
- Jinbe tips the Sea King with snacks.
6. Franky’s Mecha Drill ⚙️
- The Thousand Sunny transforms into General Drill—a ship-mech with a massive cola-powered drill that bores straight up through the Red Line’s rock.
- They pop out in the middle of Pangaea Castle’s courtyard like a demented groundhog.
7. Sanji’s Sky-Food Trap 🍗
- Sanji cooks the world’s most irresistible meat dish and leaves it floating on a balloon.
- A massive flock of sky creatures tries to grab it, accidentally lifting the Sunny with their combined strength.
- Luffy: “Best Uber Eats ever!”
8. Gear 5 Elevator 🌀
- Luffy uses Gear 5 to turn the Red Line into a giant bouncy rubber ramp.
- The Sunny skates up like a water slide until it crashes into the Holy Land gates.
- Marines are too stunned to react.

Imu will probably flood the world a lot more too, so they might just be able to sail up to Mary Geoise directly more or less too lol.

Some more serious ideas from GPT too:
1. Revolutionary Army Extraction
- Setup: The Revolutionaries already have infiltration routes into Mary Geoise (as seen during the Reverie).
- Method:
- Dragon or Sabo sends a covert team to meet the Sunny at a hidden inlet at the Red Line’s base.
- They guide the ship through an ancient lift system or hidden reverse-current channel the Revolutionaries discovered that existed in the Void Century.
- Why it works in canon: Fits with the Revolutionary Army’s mysterious reach and knowledge of ancient tech, and sets up a big Revs + SH alliance moment.
2. Sea King “Courier Route” via Shirahoshi
- Setup: As Poseidon, Shirahoshi can command Sea Kings — creatures big enough to interact directly with the Red Line’s top.
- Method:
- Shirahoshi arrives (possibly escorted by the Neptune family) and orders a squad of colossal Sea Kings to carry the Sunny up the vertical sea cliff.
- They use currents along the Red Line’s outer face to help the climb.
- Why it works in canon: Brings back a major Chekhov’s Gun from Fish-Man Island and makes Shirahoshi a direct player in liberating Mary Geoise’s slaves.
3. Ancient Weapon-Powered Access
- Setup: The Thousand Sunny could be upgraded or temporarily equipped with tech linked to Pluton or Uranus.
- Method:
- Franky reveals a small fragment of Pluton’s schematics he memorized from Water 7, allowing him to retrofit the Sunny with a short-burst propulsion or elevator system hidden in the Red Line’s structure.
- Why it works in canon: Oda loves planting long-term payoffs for old arcs (Water 7/Enies Lobby), and this ties the Straw Hats to the Ancient Weapons plotline.
4. Red Line Internal Waterways
- Setup: The Red Line might have natural or man-made internal canals for transporting resources from the sea to Mary Geoise.
- Method:
- The crew sneaks the Sunny into one of these canals disguised as a cargo ship.
- Once inside, they ascend via massive locks or water elevators until they emerge near the Holy Land.
- Why it works in canon: Matches the kind of real-world engineering Oda occasionally sprinkles into One Piece (like Water 7’s gates and currents).
5. Combined Devil Fruit Approach
- Setup: The crew combines several Devil Fruit powers they’ve encountered.
- Method:
- Luffy (Gear 5) creates a massive stretching ramp up the Red Line.
- Robin and Franky secure the Sunny on the ramp.
- Jinbe or another helmsman rides the sea current upward while Nami manipulates wind and weather for lift.
- Why it works in canon: Oda often stages big “everyone contributes” sequences in major arcs (Enies Lobby, Onigashima).
If I were to bet on one
Oda-likely path, I’d lean toward a
Revolutionary Army route with some kind of
ancient or hidden transport system inside the Red Line, because it:
- Keeps the Thousand Sunny intact.
- Brings the Revolutionaries directly into the main story.
- Lets Oda reveal hidden infrastructure in Mary Geoise without retconning geography too much.
1. The Red Line Becomes an Island Chain
- Imu’s flooding and tectonic upheaval could shatter parts of the Red Line.
- Water levels rise so much that Mary Geoise’s base is directly accessible by ship, turning the Holy Land into a “castle island” instead of a mountain-top city.
- The Sunny could simply ride the new currents into what used to be the upper city’s harbor.
2. Reverse Waterfall Current
- The rising ocean forces water up the Red Line’s slopes, creating massive waterfalls in reverse, like a permanent Reverse Mountain on all sides.
- Nami, Jinbe, and Franky work together to angle the Sunny perfectly, letting them ride the new flood right into Mary Geoise’s gates.
3. Half-Submerged Holy Land
- If the flooding is severe enough, the streets of Mary Geoise could be waist-deep (or more) in water.
- The Straw Hats could navigate the Sunny through drowned boulevards, essentially turning the capital into Venice in chaos.
- Gives Oda a chance to draw wild ship-to-ship battles inside the city.
4. Sunlight Tree Eve’s Roots Become a Highway
- The massive Sunlight Tree Eve grows under the Red Line, channeling light to Fish-Man Island.
- Rising waters could expose enormous root tunnels leading from the sea straight up through the Red Line into the city.
- The Sunny sails through glowing, ancient corridors — equal parts beautiful and eerie — before bursting into Mary Geoise’s flooded plaza.
Regardless of plausability, I do like some of these ideas.
