Well the question is not anymore if it happens or not, but it should definitely happen. If the arc ends without Kidd being able to defeat Big Mom, it's over for him. He did nothing in this arc and probably the last one where he is one of the main players.
Law already had his arc at dressrosa so nothing to worry about him. But if Kidd wants to be Luffy's rival and equal, no alternative choice to grow up in this fight and give big mom a tough fight.

Good for them as at the very least they can actually call themselves luffy's rivals. Luffy's crew is already way better than theirs combined but if both law and kidd are also way worse than luffy why are they even here as rivals?

Unless Big Mom have some kind of nerf like she is too hungry to fight, its bs for me if the duo wins without any help from others like Killer, Hawkins, X-Drake, and Apoo.
