All the talk about Zoro being the one who killed Kaido, how would it have happened? Would it be a One on One fight, or a team effort? With Yamato and Adult Momo? And what would Luffy and the others be doing?
Pretty much like this:
1. Luffy beat Kaido
2. Luffy is out of gas so he becomes a sitting duck like in Dressrosa, while after a while Kaido wakes up again due to zoan power
3. Kaido flies to Flower Capital and rampages, everyone there is scared
4. Zoro comes and beheads Kaido, replicating what Ryuma did: slaying dragon in Flower Capital
Opposing Kaido & Big Mom on the rooftop is a group effort.
They barely manage to separate the two Yonko.
Law, Kidd, Killer + some others (Scabbards, yakuza, etc.) take BM away.
Luffy, Zoro + some others fight Kaido, but he's still too much of a beast for them.
The rest of the plot, with CP0 interference & Luffy's death, happens the same way.
Nika barely defeats Kaido & is out of juice.
Everybody rejoices. It's the end of Thriller Bark all over: the dawn is here and they've made it by a hairbreadth.
Luffy passes out, adult Momo makes a speech in front of the Flower Capital when--
Giant, injured dragon Kaido reappears over them, threatening a new war.
Everybody is worried. They try waking Luffy up.
But Zoro knows that even if Luffy goes G5 again, he will only
defeat Kaido, while more drastic measures are needed. Luffy is not the type to take a life, but taking Kaido's is what is necessary.
With his last haki, Zoro feeds greedy Enma and jumps into the sky.
In a breathtaking volume-ending double-spread, the clouds above the Flower Capital are cut into two, and with them Kaido's head is severed as well.
The Wano population is in disbelief; silhouetted flashbacks recall what Ryuma did centuries ago.
Luffy sleeps peacefully. The curtain falls on the menace who'd enslaved the Country of Gold.
