1st prince "real" ability isn't revealed. We already know that he can gather the abilities of his dead bodyguards.
But he probably has an ability to directly fight.

The reveal is about his bodyguard Furykov.

He is yes. He is one of the cursed kids. There are many of them.
Benjamin was probably already aware and we weren't or maybe he wasn't aware and didn't react too much about it for various reasons.

Translation isn't even that weird. It's the accumulation of information and the lack of overall explanation at once.
Togashi is dropping explanations while simultaneously dropping even more questions.

Keep in mind that we as readers do not do a re-read after each hiatus which can lead us to forget some plot-lines too.

Either by some scheme or by inheritance rights.

If Benjamin dies, someone else should get this power. Logically Camilla and Zhang Lei are the oldest. But depending on the outcome of next chapters, they will either both "disappear" or Tserriednich will be considered most legit.

Tserri would be the most legit because Camilla is imprisoned or would lack trust of the army because of sexist reasons.
Zhang Lei is older but isn't the son of the 1st Queen, but the 3rd Queen, which might be a data that comes into play too.


Lots of shit happen to hit the fan given that Zhang Lei, and Luzurus, couldn't be located by Benjamin's army earlier in chapter 410.
They probably both fled to join their mafia in lower tiers.

This chapter also seems to be introducing the concept of soul in HxH. Halkenburg isn’t completely buried because « his soul is still alive ». I believe it’s a first time we see this but maybe we will never hear about it again after this specific incident…

Also, after a reread, it looks like three of Beyond’s children have now been revealed: Furykov, Sarkov (the guard of Tserri who mentioned he could use zetsu since birth) and Longhi (the woman in Kurapika’s nen classroom).


I always considered this Succession War a side quest before the dark Continent, but it will most likely turn out even better than the chimera Ant arc (for those who can actually keep track of it). I am now genuinely invested in who will become king.


Just some of the many subplots running simultaneously in this arc:

• The Succession war itself. (3 dead out of 14)
• The Spiders vs Hisoka.
• The Cha R family vs The Spiders, as they have mentioned on multiple occasions that the troupe is becoming a major nuisance.
• Chrollo vs Hisoka Round 2, but before that, Chrollo mentions needing to steal a kakin national treasure to upgrade Skill hunter and secure a way to kill Hisoka for good.
• Kurapika’s realization that the spiders is on board (man, I don't think he's making it off this ship alive).
• Kurapika vs Tserri(Two nen beasts, plus his parallel future, which is basically an improved izanagi without the loss of an eye and the ability to see 10 seconds in the future)
• The Heil ly family plot
• Heil ly members reaching level 50 and above, with some preparing to take revenge against Hinrigh (the guy who turns weapons and tools into living animals).
• They also finally found a specialist, who apparently used to be friend with tserri. Curious to see the ability she will receive
• Xi yu vs Spiders(Hinrigh is now aware that one of their member, lynch, was killed by the copy of hisoka who was in fact bolonelov)
• Heil ly vs Feitan, Phinks, and Nobunaga (with nobunaga actually starting to develop a strange respect for them).
• Then we don't know whether Illumi, Beyond, pariston, Ging and the Zodiacs will actually remain on the sidelines this entire time.
