I can see a future where the Troupe's original members are all dead and the new replacements have nen abilities + nen beasts granted them by Chrollo's postmortem nen fed to the Succession War Urn. This would turn the idea of the Spider itself into a powerful entity.

Compared to someone like Oda Togashi's artwork skills are less consistent, but reach greater heights when he wants to deliver.

Great chapter. My boi Chrollo getting spotlight he deserves. It seems like Chrollo is going up to find a specific person to help him get the tressures and end up getting a PU. Upstairs is where Kurapika, Hisoka and Tsseridnich also are....so I wonder where this plot point will head.

Ive stated this once and Ill say it again. Chrollo will fight Kurapika....and not Hisoka. Hisoka will fight the rest of the spiders and survive this arc.

Doesn't this chapter imply that there's a hard limit to Chrollo's skill stealing that we didn't know before?

The translations make it sound like there's a certain "tier" of abilities he's unable to even attempt to steal if he hasn't retrieved an item of certain value

Chrollo is a specialist so this makes even more sense. It's almost like a video game where you have to hit a certain level to use high class weapons. It honestly fits Chrollo's personality perfectly. In order to gain more and more powerful abilities he has to steal things of higher and higher values

For example, Chrollo as soon as he manifested Skill Hunter probably couldn't have stolen a top grade Hatsu like Perfect Plan or Doctor Blythe because at that point he was a rookie thief

This gives Chrollo and the Phantom Troupe an even deeper motive for trying to steal things

Or is the other way around? He enjoys stealing, so he designed his ability around it, complementing his talent and pushing it to new highs in order to hone the nen.

I think there is something deeper in the page where he says if he dies, it will blow up either way. I think it’s more than seething. Maybe his death would bring more power to the Troupe somehow with a specific nen ability.

Now what could this be ? Nen after death, Skill Hunter and link with all of the Troupe members … there might be a chance that his death gives all of his stolen hatsu to the members of the Troupe. Like the opposite of what Benjamin has with his bodyguards.

But I hope it’s even bigger than that. After all, why would he trust the Troupe so much about killing Hisoka when we know that Hisoka was only interested in Chrollo as a fighter

also please Chrollo change your satanic outfit, it’d be a miracle to walk around the upper floors going unnoticed dressed like a kinky fuck. Literally worse than Hisoka
