@EmperorKinyagi kinda makes sense that Kizaru would put up his CoA stats in defense when his df offers him all speed and attack power he needs + he can still use his haki when his df wont work or even add his light sword/kicks additionally

I perfectly predicted Kizaru being a defensive/blocking-based fighter.

It's like with Kuzan where people thought he was rangey and more dexterous, but turned out to be a boxer.

With Kizaru, people expect him also to be rangey and evasive, but I thought it was his super tough guard that would define his style.

It's not 100% but with him training Sentomaru it looks like I'm probably right.
