Character Discussion I just realized One Piece is probably the only shonen anime where the main character is my favorite character for me.

I usually go for the cool side characters, in Naruto it's Kakashi, in Black Clover it's Yami, in HxH it's Kurapika, in AoT it's Levi, you get the idea.
Usually main characters end up having this boy scout ass moral compass which makes them unlikable to me. Naruto trying to convert villians, Fujimaru from Fate GO constantly forgiving people who just tried to kill him, and don't get me started on My Hero.
By contrast, Luffy would never give a fuck what the law was. He does what he knows is right and constantly breaks rules to do it. And the only thing he has for the people who hurt his friends is these hands. My absolute favorite Luffy moment is his smile on Zou when he realizes "Raizo is safe" because it elevated them in his eyes to his own level. Being willing to sacrifice everything for someone you care about.

Luffy is everything, and I tell you why
1. He is so positive to win againts two yonko crew all at once in single combat, and he did
2. He always put his crew lives in danger in the name of adventure and its really fun
3. He get power up everytime he saw little boy or little girl or a woman get abused and crying, I mean he can prevented it tho but he choose to see the victim crying and begging first
4. He is so positive that he can beat everyone, it's sound a little bit arrogant and naive but hey its a optimist attitude
5. And his greed, the eating disorder of a meat, what a man, he put his crew lives in danger of starvation in order he get full belly, he is a boss!!
6. He literally mocking an admiral who is blind but also capable as not equal to him because he is blind, yess a dominant racist man who look down to a people with disability, the great pirate monkey d luffy
