Future Events I might take a massive L for this prediction, but screw it. Ryokugyu is going to clap the alliance.

But what if Aramaki isn't washed, though? I can't say I can predict the future, but I don't think there's going to be a full battle between them.
I used to be of the same mindset, that there wouldn’t be a fight and something would interrupt him.

But do you really think Oda would avoid drawing a harada-esque fight scene where Aramaki takes on a ton of people at once? I don’t think so

I actually don't know much about Yoshio Harada's movies, to be honest. He's an action star?
Not just action, but in every action movie or action clip from a movie I’ve seen him in there’s always a scene where he takes on a shit ton of people at once.

It can’t be a coincidence that he’s walking up to an alliance that in theory he shouldn’t stand a chance against

The thing is that Sakazuki mentioned for GB to not engage but he’s doing it anyway right? If you noticed that Luffy’s encounter with Fujitora at the end of Dressrosa, he put up more of a fight than previously.

An Admiral is in a emperor’s territory now. This is narratively the moment for Luffy to stale mate an admiral to show that progression. If we are end game soon, this will be an indicator of Luffy’s current level.

Threads like this for me shows people aren’t used to where Luffy is at strength wise. This manga is on its way to the end. Luffy can’t struggle against an admiral forever.

While there is some merit in what you’re saying, aka this could be a scene to show Luffy’s progression, I think that there needs to be some tension.

The alliance did kind of just wash two emperors.

We need something to build up the endgame.

I’ve been reviewing a lot of footage (movies, clips, etc) of Yoshio Harada, the actor that Ryokugyu is based off of.

One thing that is sticking out really, really hard, is that in most of his action movies Harada always has a battle where he fights MANY opponents at once.

Hell, based on what I’ve seen, fighting against ridiculous odds is more or less his thing.

Oda clearly put a lot of effort into making sure Ryokugyu homages Harada, even moreso than I can remember with any of the admirals.

Aramaki literally has a reference to Harada’s lyrics tatoo’d on his chest.

I think, based on how much Oda is homaging Harada, a fight between Ryokugyu and the alliance is inevitable. I don’t agree with people that think it will be interrupted. And I no longer think that Aramaki will win via some sneaky hax AOE.

Even if he straight up loses or chooses to retreat, I think Aramaki will fight the entire alliance and look absolutely insane while he’s doing it. In the same way that Marco was alternating between King and Queen in 1006, I think we’ll get some crazy choreography where Ryokugyu alternates between everyone in the alliance and holds his own.

If he does I’m done powerscaling One Piecd because it will make absolutely no sense.

Kaido was literally the strongest creature in the world. If GB comes and does anything significant in a fight against them it literally make no sense.
Luffy will definitely struggle with people going forward, no reason to think Kaido was the last time he’ll get pressed until Blackbeard.

without a doubt you are taking an L :D
Only one way to find out.

I don’t know about “clapping” the entire alliance, but he will definitely be a lot more trouble than a lot of people are thinking.

There has been a crap ton of Admiral wank and Kaido/BM downplaying because GB was able to do something that Yonkos were already inferred and shown to be able to do, except Admiral fans deliberately downplay those feats while ignoring context and making unfair comparisons of feats (conveniently leaving out times Admirals had just as worse feat) and outright ignoring portrayal, which takes a dump on fandom powerscaling for all intents and purposes.

I'll let it slide to let y'all have your time to wank and shine, but if GB gets stalled/beaten by any of the SN captains, or god forbid their subordinates, you better have a dumpster truck for the trash that you're about to receive. :kata:

I am well aware that I might take a massive L for this, and I’ve even said that I think there’s a good chance Ryokugyu straight up loses, even in the scenario I outlined.

But I have difficulty believing Oda would base him on an actor who’s whole thing is large group battles and then not give him a large group battle.

Yeah, and a lot of ZKKers had/have difficulty believing their intricately plotted mindmaps weren't true.

I think that even though your analysis is interesting, and you might have confidence in it, to keep expectations lower regardless. That way you wont be disappointed, and if it turns out going your way you can be happy you predicted it.

Eh I think a lot of it is backlash for how Yonko fans used to do the same things for admirals. There's obviously gonna be feelings of vindication knowing that they were right about YC's=Admirals being retarded the entire time, but yeah there are some overreactions. I think on average most admiral fans rate yonkos higher than Yonko fans rate admirals.
