General & Others I think Sanji has the coolest fighting style in One Piece who do yall think has the coolest fighting style?

Pre gears Luffy is still my favorite. The versatility and imagination it had was phenomenal.

The old school art style and how Oda would draw Luffys major attacks hit so hard and was super refreshing. The gum gum storm and Gatling felt more impressive back when you could see the physical fists. And the way it would switch the tables because of how versatile Luffys attacks could be like the gum gum gavel against Krieg or gum gum golden rifle was amazing.

Now it’s just “bigger fist go brrrr”

Sanjis second for me though. Love the capoeira movements.

I never know this, Luffy pre gears was clean. When he took down Arlong Park it was fire. But I rarely see anything better than Sanji when he’s in his bag. Even post ts it’s fire. The oven moment and the IJ sequence. I wish it would have gotten more attention from the animators.

Yeah Sanjis is the most consistently good and hasnt been watered down or changed much through OPs run.

But man you reread some of Luffys old fights before Oda made them so linear with Gears or Oda changed his art style and it hits so hard. Like the way it’s used in the fights against croc enel and Arlong is just so fun. (Luffy turning a gum gum pistol to a gum gum shotgun mid punch against croc to take him by surprise is the kind of cool shit I miss from Luffys fighting style.)

I agree, this might sound weird coming from me but I hate the way he fights in gear 5.

Feels like the old school art style really lended itself to smooth choreography. Tiny sequences like this one still feel so memorable for some reason.

I’m on the fence. I like that it brings the fun and versatility back but it’s an over correction and changes Luffys personality too much

It’s the simplicity of it. It’s not bogged down by excessive effects like steam or lightnings or coloring so we clearly see the motions which helps a lot

I love trickster and or mages.

So for me it's Katakuri, cuz of the mochi fists he was able to summon.

I also really enjoyed Enel's longrange attacks, but in a real close combat battle he was less interesting.

Fujitora is insane. Best swordsman in the series with the addition of his fruit. His fighting style is nonplusultra.
