- On the rooftop the battle would be Luffy, Kidd, Law, Killer vs Kaido. The result depends on how long Marco & Katakuri can hold Linlin away from the rooftop, cause the 4v1 on Kaido would result in a success if given enough time.

Yeah, story would change. Would it favor the Alliance? That's up to debate...

I really dig the idea that Katakuri could end up fighting Linlin alongside Marco.

Eh Zoro would have his hands full with King, he would probably be pushed outside just like it happened canonically.
As said, Drake would be on the defensive and cover the tower Chopper is in, Hyogoro would be defeated for sure. Queen, on the offensive, would be a problem. Also, no warming flames to slow down the Ice Oni...
I'd say that Kata's presence is beneficial for the Rooftop, counterproductive for the Live Floor.
In the end I expect him to fall together with Marco, after weakening Linlin, by that time R4 better be done with Kaido...

A whole other scenario would be Linlin simply bypassing Marco/Kata & reaching the Rooftop, Marco giving a passage to Zoro so that Marco & Katakuri vs King & Queen starts, this way R5 vs Kaido & Linlin is preserved and I'm sure that King & Queen would be both dealt with. This makes Zoro free to come back for Kaido (after the elixir) and team up with Luffy instead of fighting King and Sanji would be free to either protect Robin or intervene in other fights. Killer would still stop to destroy Hawkins. Kidd & Law would still fight Linlin.
This scenario is for sure more confortable for the Alliance.

I get the feeling he wouldn’t interfere with Roofpiece, Katakuri knows his place and wouldn’t impede on Linlin’s turf.

I can see him giving Yamato a decent fight if he wanted to end the large scale conflict by beating Momo, like King wanted to do. Katakuri’s a fairly logical guy and wouldn’t waste time fighting random opponents if there was an easier option.

IMO I can see him briefly clashing with Luffy to check his resolve before mostly taking a bystander position until Marco arrives. I don’t think he’d have any qualms with fighting Marco.

If that theory about Whitebeard betraying Rocks during God's Valley because he realized Rocks is a danger to the world then I would say that Katakuri would made up his mind by now and announce to Big Mom that he is her enemy now and this battle will decide who will rule over Big Mom Pirates. ( Ofc he wouldn't beat her 1 vs 1 but overall as a battle ).

I brought up this God's Valley and Whitebeard shit because they share similarities.

If not he would be reduced to brawling with Marco.

Narratively speaking, i honestly find it hard to believe that Katakuri would go against Big Mom. I think Katakuri would most likely sit out this conflict and just observe from the sidelines if given the chance. He would probably only participate in the war if: either on Mama's orders, or if his siblings are threatened or in danger- like stepping in to protect Perospero from Marco or Nekomamushi.

The only time i can see Katakuri switching sides and going against Big Mom is if she's about to die and is threatening to kill perospero, or any of her children as a bargaining chip do i really see Katakuri going against Big Mom.

Fair point, but is not far fetched to see Katakuri prioritizing the nullification of the BP-BMP Alliance cause Katakuri probably sees Beasts Pirates as a dumb gang of brutes just like Perospero did...

His objective would not be to kill Mama btw, just to stop her and let the Alliance bring down Kaido/Beasts Pirates in the meantime

Why would he miss Katakuri? 🧐 he is proving faster than Base Zoro on average, Zoro is the man who proved faster than Kaido in Asura so by calculations Base King is probably around as fast as Base Kaido, which means that his fastest attacks should bypass the FS defence.
