Powers & Abilities If Kidd was a likable character would it change his powerlevel?

Kidd obviously has portrayal but his feats are pretty lame for the most part, with his fruit even in the awakened form being complete garbo, he is a potential ACoC user but even then it’s hard to see him on Law/ Zoro level.
Is it because Kidd is a lame character who is constantly enforced as a fraud rival yet at the same time Oda refuses to make him likable in any sort of way?

Kid is supposed to be a foil to luffy. He's the luffy that didn't have plot armor or a mythic fruit or good genes. So, no matter how much he tries, his ultimate fate would always be to be below the pirate Jesus.

He's cool in his own way though. I remember back in sabaody, he was cold as fuck when he was watching the auction and commenting on the state of the WG and the celestial dragons. But, oda dropped the ball like he does with so many other characters. And as Law grew in importance, kid's became lower.

People hated Kidd because it will affect their power scaling and that he doesn't have a backstory yet. And that Kidd is the "Anti-Hero" version of Luffy which people apparently misunderstand and proclaims Kidd is "evil". Look at Law for example, he got his own backstory and arc thus his popularity increased. Oda just needs to spend some time to develop his character and he will be more likable and popular for general audiences.

There's a psychological reason behind it: people like dependable people, and strong people are dependable, they can protect and fight back. Kid is trash because he's an empty character with no purpose or strength, he's not Luffy's rival as I thought before, and looks like he will never be one.

Other then that, Kid doesn't have anything else, he's not charismatic, smart like Law or just simply funny. Kid's character is this stupid "AHH I SMUSH I'M HOLK" type of shit that is retarded and sad, especially when you have one of the coolest DFs in the series. What's there to like about kid? The fact that he couldn't do shit against Meme or Kaido? Or maybe because he's boringly lame. The guy has zero charisma, he's the most 10th rate Anime character ever, just to fill the screen time.

In a world where characters can bust mountains with fists, what does few thousand kg of metal gonna do?
That's like Luffy throwing cars at his opponents instead of using his fists that can bust countries.

I think the way he uses his power is what makes a lot of people mad. he mostly just hurls around junk at lowspeed and we can see it doing considerably no damage to his opponents. There’s nothing wrong with his character because he is a standard copy and paste shonen stereotype personality just like the MC and your favorite Lharacters. His awakening is shown as unstoppable alongside Law’s hax Krooms
