Shiki has buoyancy powers, so he also has an advantage in sea battles. He can just float a ship up and then just drop it from really high up.

At no point is Shiki in any way treated as a super legend on the level of Whitebeard and Roger, or even in the same level with Kaido and BM. Sengoku, his supposed great rival, barely mentions him.

He was a decently strong pirate in the past who’s main selling point was his massive fleet. Nothing more. As much of a legend as Don Chinjao was.

And of course he groups it with Captain John, because Shiki has not yet had a proper appearance in the manga.

And to compare Shiki to Chinjao is to greatly underestimate him.

At no point have I said that Shiki is going to be more important to the current narrative than Big Mom or Kaido, but neither do I think that the fact that Oda is naming him again after more than 10 years of appearing in Strong World means that he's just a simple cameo.

Either way, I think Rocks' flashback will be crucial to Shiki's future.

He would be a washed out top tier. His power though is the real deal in the sense that he can level islands in seconds/minutes and without breaking a sweat. Still I would prefer someone like Garp or even Ray in 1 vs 1 fight.
