So let’s imagine if the world government was democratically elected, the five elders are not necessarily celestial dragons but they’re the top elected politicians from around the world.

Most royalties abdicated the throne and are replaced by political parties and the ones that didn’t only have honorary roles with no real authority.

Taxes go towards healthcare, education and to feed poor countries.

So this version of the world government represents the people to a greater extent than the in-story version.

Would going against such world government necessarily make one a terrorist rather than a revolutionary/pirate? Like this government does represent the people but they wronged my friends, so I gotta fight them even if they are the authority (especially those with defiant personalities).

*FYI; this government while democratic in the process of it’s election but can still be influenced by corporates and the politicians can be lobbied and bought with money.

No, you don't get to take arms against the government and kill people because you had a problem with some actions. Either take office and fix it yourself or vote for someone that will.

Membership to the World Government is conditional on ability to meet the extreme requirements of Heavenly Tribute, protection money by another name, and obedience without recourse to a brutal, extremist, fascist regime engaged in suppression, draconian surveillance, slavery, genocide, extrajudicial murder, human experiments, kidnapping, child abuse, sexual abuse and generally high levels of obscenely widespread corruption.

The World Government is a government by name only. It is a mafia-style regime by function. That good people operate within its sphere of influence and try to do good does not mean the WG is good. The existence and role of the Celestial Dragons cannot be divorced from it. They are inherit to it.

The WG is inherently evil by the function it fulfils in the story as the opposing force to truth, freedom, liberation and equality.
