Sanji had a 99.5% possibility to not return to the crew post-Timeskip.
In the filler, he only snapped out of his brainwashed trance as an Okama because of grief from seeing the newspaper on Ace and Luffy (in the scene he gets the newspaper, reads it, he immediately shouts and snaps out of the trance with the makeup and brainwashed state just melting off of him.)
This means, that had he been 5ft away and missed the newspaper, or someone else got it, or he just didn’t care to get it, he would not have broken out of the trance and stayed ‘blissfully (or hellfully unaware).
Iva would have returned, but because Sanji wasn’t arguing or putting up a show, he wouldn’t have noticed nor cared except that they had a new resident (remember, Iva refused to recognize Sanji being a STH at first.)
2 years would have passed, Sanji would not have trained, still under trance.
Everyone would all meet at Sabaody except for Sanji.
Luffy would throw a fit, and demand they try to find where Sanji was/had been sent.
If they found out, he would have gone and wrecked Kambakka for his crew member back (like WCI).
Iva would have been angered until he found out his people force-brainwashed one of Luffy’s crew.
Caroline would finally be kicked off the island for being a fuckup.
With that said, can we really stop supporting that damn filler? There’s so much wrong with it the more you analyze it and tear it a part.. Just take it as a joke it is, and don’t try to find a deeper meaning of some egg or comphet Sanji.
