General & Others If Worstgen existed while Ennies Lobby was going on

I don't think asspulls and plot armor are the biggest problem with Wano, that stuff happens in every arc. The problems is the fucked up pacing and focus on scrubbards
I didn't even mind the focus on scabbards vs Kaido. It's everything aftet that that was pure shit with them, like that heaps of bs just to have Kinemon survive and the tedious plotline with Orochi and Kanjuro

-"G2/G3? When in the hell did Luffy train to get those forms? This is the biggest asspull power up in history!"

-"This is supposed to be the judicary island, why is it so badly guarded? How come Luffy can just solo walk in there and wreck everyone? Terrible writing!"

"Khalifa can instantly use soru finger pistol and kill Nami, this plot armor is discusting! Did Nami just create multiple clones of herself? Oda hello????????

-" Giraffe is lame, Oda did Kaku dirty! Laku!!!! Did Zoro just grow 2 heads and multiple arms? Oda has completely lost it."

-"Luffy got 1 shot by Lucci 2 days ago and now he can go toe to toe with him? Loda!"

-"CP9 have been a complete dissapointment, they did not live up to the hype of W7. Spandam is the worst villain ever."

-"Franky's boys and the Gallela survived the buster call??? 0 deaths?????? This arc is a joke!!!"

For clarification, i am not defending the writing decisions above, I am simply making the point that the writing decisions Oda makes have always been consistent. They are not Wano problems, they are OP problems. I also think EL(NOT W7) is massively overrated but that's another topic.

Wano's biggest individual flaw as an arc is that Oda planned so much stuff, yet when he realized how much it would take him to end Wano, he panicked and sped up the pacing and rushed through a lot. The result of that is a 4 year arc, which somehow feels rushed. This is why Wano can feel so frustrating to read.

Also due to the recent events, if you feel frustrated with the series right now, just take a break or don't be as invested as you probably are right now. Being invested in something you are currently frustrated with, only leads to more frustration and hate. OP is not going away anytime soon, you can always come when you feel the spark again. Have a nice day!
It is funny odatards denial trying to taint the best arcs of one piece such as enies lobby. Enies lobby had characters and stories to tell. Most of what happens in wano is narration which kills the tension. So luffy beating kaido has been cemented by roger and rayleigh some flashbacks ago. Wano is proof that the strawhats are filler.

Noone expects op fights to be great however we all expect them to have an emotional invenstment.

What emotional investment is there to have when the story and us can predict most things or worse those things get enlongated for no reason whatsoever?
For example: Luffy getting koed by apoo, Luffy getting stalled by ulti and the scabbards holding that long to kaido.

It was nonsensical and it is just made for profit.

The biggest question is why Nami doesn't use her clone technique anymore? Her enemies doesn't seem to know about CoO
Because Oda doesn't want to bother with Nami and Usopp anymore. "Mirage Tempo", "Milky Road", "Midori Boshi: Impact Wolf"... we don't see any of that anymore. It's easier if Nami just keeps using thunder attacks. Nami and Usopp would have to defeat Ulti and P1 with cleverness, and that requires more creative work than simply defeating someone with kicks, punches, or slashes with a sword.

What happened with Usopp/Nami duo is even more frustrating seeing Oda is perfectly able to have team fights with Kid and Law. Come the fuck on, Usopp has so many stuff in his arsenal yet barely used any.

Wano will end up about two volumes longer with a significantly larger cast.

He pulled out a lot but surprise, that homegrown shit doesn't work on the officer of am emperor in direct combat. Luckily Usopp doesn't rely on beating people like the cookie cutter shonen people seem to think

When we read week to week, even following spoilers bit by bit when new info drops it’s very easy to live in the moment and just have knee jerk reactions to everything. I’d bet people were just as they are now back then in the old forums.

That is literally the problem with Wano arc. Asspullings and plot armor.

When I restarted to watch One Piece I already knew the power ups and outcomes. In fact I was watching just to see those.

G3 makes perfectly sense for Luffy. I don't know how I would feel about Enies Lobby back then. Most part of the history telling I didn't gave much atention at time because I was younger(18).

But yeah for a WG facilitie seems terrible guarded compared to Marineford and Impel Down.

My feelings would probably be others but back then I already hated Zoro's Ashura.
