I was thinking about how I would've rearranged the Wano fight match-ups if I had the choice, and I was wondering what other people would've liked to see.
Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the teamwork aspect of the 5 SN vs Kaido and Big Mom. They kind of teased that they were going to split up into 1 group vs Big Mom and 1 group vs Kaido but instead we got Kaido taking on the gauntlet and then getting Luffy in a 1v1 whereas we did get a team battle with BM but poor Killer was not allowed in the club.
I thought it was pretty disrespectful of Oda to have Killer be presented like he was on the rooftop and fare as well as he did and then get fucking Hawkins as his fight who belongs in the same category of walking L that Jack does. Also, why the fuck did Sanji fight Queen? Terrible match up and Sanji got his PU so early in the fight that he took a fat shit on Queen for the most part after that.
I also would have removed the scabbards vs. Kaido and only have the rooftop 5 having fought him so he wouldn't be as worn down by the time it gets to the final match-ups.
So this is how I probably would have wanted it:
Luffy, Zoro and Yamato vs. Kaido - All out ACoC battle where all three of them having reasons to want to take down Kaido (take a step closer towards PK, free wano, avenge Yasuie & ebisu town people). I also think this would've eased some of the tension about Luffy ascending to Yonko level too quickly and would've left more room for growth later. I.E. going from taking out a Yonko in a 3v1 vs in a 1v1...if Oda really wants to give Luffy all the shine he could mostly just have Yamato and Zoro reach their limits while Luffy delivers the final few blows
Kid, Law & Killer vs Big Mom - I think adding Killer to this fight really would have pushed Big Mom to properly go all out and risk a huge portion of her life span with some crazy shit. Also Killer got disrespected and fuck that
Sanji vs King - Sanji hasn't had a proper 1v1 in so long so I didn't want to put him in the team battles because even if it would've been hype to fight a Yonko he wouldn't really get credit all for himself. Plus the 6 people above already fought either Kaido, Big Mom or both so I wanted to stick to those people. Anyway King is a much better match for Sanji and would've pushed him waaaay farther than Queen did (if that fight is over). The choreography would've been better, Sanji would've been able to grow even more, we could've found out even more about Lunarians, etc.
Jinbe vs. Queen - Jinbe was straight up just not a match for Who's-Who. I considered putting him against Jack but I hate Jack and I love Jinbe so no. Plus this fight probably would've forced Jinbe to improve and get a PU, getting some shine as the newest crew member
Inuarashi vs Jack - no change here
Nekomamushi vs Perospero - again no change
Drake vs Who's Who - Just makes sense to me for some reason
Franky vs Sasaki - No change
Robin vs Black Maria - No change
Nami and Usopp vs Ulti - I hated that BM had to be involved in this
Brook vs Page One - I know he's the weakest tobiroppo but there's more of a storyline w/ Nami and Usopp vs Ulti
Chopper and Bepo vs Hawkins - Wanted to give bepo a chance to get back at hawkins for what he did to law's crew and then I also wanted to give chopper a fight
Apoo can go fuck himself and fall off onigashima and drown
