The entire premise was Luffy will defeat Kaido, he will pass out then Kaido will awaken his DF
So Luffy didn't defeated Kaido

if kaido awakens after losing to luffy and zoro finishes him then it means Luffy didn't beat Kaido at all.

They really think Zoro will beat a Yonko this arc
ZKK is another wish for them to have zoro steal Luffy's fight and victory

At best Luffy will have won a round of the fight and not even against Kaido's best form as awakening for mithycal Zoans is their strongest form by far
