Character Discussion If Zoro is really a Shimotsuki, would you like is name changing on the bounties?

Absolutely not, the name Roronoa is already famous and feared throughout the OP world...he would not gain any more of a reputation if saddled with a name that few people outside of Wano would recognize or be impressed by.

He calls himself Ronoa though there must be a reason for that, meaning he either is from a branch family or he was abbandoned/left his family, the diference with Sanji in the second cenario is that i dont think the government cares about the shimotsuki clan like they care about the vinsmokes.

To be honest I don't necessarily hope that Zoro's origins are God tier, I would be more content if he is shown as the opposite. He is an homo novus, which equates to a man who formed himself... by himself, so the latter would suit him a lot.

Makes no sense.

- Shimotsuki would be blood or clan, but that doesn't make it his real name.

- the government knew of his lineage but Portgas was already the known surname and the one with which he identified. So just like Ace, Zoro would keep his own name.

- Sanji had a mock picture and no other known info. His surname was an addition instead of a replacement, and overall helped make him a much more appealing target.

- the government knows Cutty Flam, but it's a dead name. The important thing is acting on information relevant to encountering these characters.

Nah Zoro name suits him just fine, if his full name wasn’t on his wanted posters and it was just “Zoro” then I wouldn’t mind a poster change like how we got for Sanji but what he has is good enough

It's more like the case of real pirate François l'Olonnais, that's his famous name in the world, but had name Jean-David Nau when his born.

Zoro certainly had Shimotsuki name from his parent, but for whatever the reasons Zoro got his present name. So Roronoa Zoro will, still, and always be the famous one. Oda will not change it.
