Chapter Discussion Im a Kidd fan now

I don’t see it going anywhere tbh. However if Kid was removed from Wano and this is where we start to see him getting in action, it would have been far more interesting. Anything he does here now won’t really swing the pendulum and it won’t be at the cost of Shanks and his crew. But yeah it is what it is idc about Kid like I used to 
Kid has no plot armour
Lmao, his sole achievement in the series has come because
a) Big Mom turned her back on Kid and Law because she thought they were dead
and
b) the most egregious example of plot armour in the series, Law pulling the ability to silence Big Mom entirely out of his ass when it just so happens to be the perfect counter to her
His personality is non-existent. What was interesting about him pre-skip was his awareness that the world saw him as villains while letting scum like Charloss rule the world, and his capacity for doing horrible deeds.
That’s gone post-skip. It’s not even touched on. It might as well have been a different character entirely that said and did those things. What does he actually have post-skip? Never giving up? That’s diet Luffy and Zoro. We’ve had a host of never giving up characters in the series- in Wano alone, it was the Red Scabbards bar Ashura’s defining trait as well. They were all weaker than Kid and up against greater odds, I doubt I’m going to see them getting wanked here any time soon.

At least Oda connected Law to Will of D, World Gov, Doffy
All Kid has connection to in wider OP world is Shanks and from what we know it’s literally only because he got fucked up by him
The fact he’s a random pirate is just not interesting in OP when the main focus is on the past, void century, world Gov, marines, dragon, Will of D. Ancient weapons, etc

Yeh obviously but the fact that Shanks was introduced in chapter 6 tells us at least that Oda has something planned for him plus he is connected to the Gorosei as well now
Kidd was introduced 10 years into the story, has no ties to any interesting characters and his whole character arc is to keep failing but keep getting back up.

Imo if the illusion was actually good and he’s an actual rival then I would be more into it but him and crew are fodder as fuck. Heat and Wire cannot be taken seriously even next to people like Franky and Brook
He got given all but one of the poneglyphs and the other one was handed to him in some bullshit way because no way Big Mom was leaving her poneglyph around not next to her
