From what I can tell it looked like the Gorosei was crossing out Lulusia on the map. I'm still not convinced it was Imu's power, but I won't be opposed if it is explicitly confirmed that it is.
How does this look like the Gorosei crossing out Lulusia to you?

It's Imu that is focused on throughout the Lulusia affair.

See again:

It makes no sense to highlight/focus on Imu like this if it was actually the Gorosei destroying the island.

Whether he’s an ancient weapon or not, he annihilates the Yonko with ease if he’s obliterating islands with his mind. Lol
Another assumption. We have literally nothing on how this works exactly. For all we know it can even take time for whatever that is to get into position in the first place, making it a extremely situational and inconvenient weapon to use. We know nothing.

This power seems utterly useless in a 1v1, just like shiraoshi would be useless and probably poseidon.
I don't think IMU is gonna be a fighter.
This gives me Sephiroth vibes. Where people argue he just needs to use Meteor to win fights when people forget it needs a long ass time to strike the earth in the first place.
Could be the same here. It looks like a massive destructive power but who knows how long it needs to get into position and fire.

And yes, its useless 1v1 unless Imu plans to take themself with it, so at best with current standing with no feats other than this, Imu has a massively situational weapon which he can only tie at best by blasting themself along with the enemy and that is not even including the potential preparation time it needs.

Either way, so far Imu has no actual fighting power other than a weapon which is only good at surprise attacks at this point.

Also, destroying an island is an Enel/Ace level feat.
Ace never destroyed an island. Hell, he didn't even create a fireball as big as a mountain.

Enel did destroy an island, and he's the only character ever to do so.

Lulusia was a much bigger island though as it had a pretty decent mountain range.

What we do know, however, and this is something Oda repeats is the Admirals are WG's strongest fighters
They are the Navy's best fighters.

the guardians of the Celestial Dragons (including Gorosei/Imu).
No such thing has been suggested let alone shown (the Gorosei/Imu sama in particular I mean).

The fingers aren't silhouetted, and the text box from the gorosei is normal, as though they're in the same room as the event happening

We see the fingers clearly holding the pen that’s crossing out the map whereas even Imu’s hands get covered up in silhouette

This is persuasive.

Akainu being the final villain would be a million times more interesting anyway, lol
Why is Sakazuki more interesting as the final antagonist? Sakazuki will be an important fight for Luffy, but Imu is intimately intertwined with the major outstanding mysteries of One Piece:
  • The Void Century
  • The Ancient Weapons
    • They stabbed Shirahoshi's picture
    • They may wield Uranus
  • Joy Boy
  • The Strawhat
  • The National Treasure of Mariejoa
  • Vivi
  • The Ancient Kingdom
  • The thing Roger could not fulfill
  • The very founding of the World Government
  • The Gorosei

Hell, Imu's very existence is likely one of the three biggest mysteries of One Piece.

How could a confrontation with Sakazuki possibly be more interesting than the confrontation with Imu?
