The big thing about this fight is that Imu uses old weapon abilities based on his old-world thinking process. He uses polearms, glaives, spiked balls, and nonsense like that.
Luffy uses modern abilities that refer to things like modern ballistics warfare and cosmic technology. For example, "Rhino Schneider" and "Star Gun". He is going to blow Imu out of the water.
Loki, however, doesn't do that. He uses old-world thinking processes, too. That means Imu will likely beat him because he's a master of that old world stuff. A hammer with a mystical property? That's nothing new to Imu.
Additionally, Luffy shouldn't be able to win. He should either match Imu and force a retreat or be overwhelmed and get saved by Shanks.
Phase 1: Loki Vs. Imu
- Base Loki overwhelms Base Imu, so he pivots to Hybrid Form. Loki responds in kind, also pivoting to Hybrid Form.
- Hybrid Imu defeats Hybrid Loki.
Phase 2: Luffy Vs. Imu
- Gear 5 Luffy overwhelms Imu's Hybrid form, so he pivots to Full Zoan. Luffy's Gear 5 time limit starts to runout.
- Full Zoan Imu defeats Gear 5 Luffy.
Phase 3: Shanks Vs. Imu
- The Red Hair Pirates return to Elbaf and reunite with Luffy. Imu retreats refusing to fight Shanks after already dealing with Niddhoggr and Nika.
- Inconclusive.
Something like this would be cool.
