For Mihawk it's not a great look to get no separation from someone Alabasta Luffy defeated. For Crocodile to get put on the same pedestal as Mihawk however is huge.

1. The portrayal of Greenbull as a hotheaded bigot was well within expectations since green is the colour of evil in japanese culture and we were long overdue another Marine Villain
2. Sabo became really popular - nothing to do with Dragon's power/ideals/influence being undermined. Sabo is still Dragon's underling
3. How exactly does this ruin Mihawk's portrayal?

He sure did ruin it for Two Piece readers who still undermine the second most important characters of certain crews/organizations, fall for fake hype/movie promotion (it's clear anyways that GB ran away from the entire crew, not Shanks, and the whole thing was a nice moment for Momo), and fail to understand the whole gag surrounding Buggy and how he reaches such positions in the world.

Well no that's not exactly what's happening here. The world sees Buggy as a top tier.

This isn't 2 men making an East blue character a Yonkou. This is Buggy the top tier validating himself by having people as strong as Mihawk and Crocodile under him, and together they effectively qualify as a Yonkou crew (let's also not ignore Buggy has plenty of manpower, enough to become a warlord despite never showing his own strength).
