Break Week In Jaya, Luffy didn't understand what Shanks was saying!

He lets himself be beaten by Bellamy's gang without replying to do like Shanks in volume 1 with the mountain brigants. But afterwards, Shanks tells the robbers when they go after child Luffy: "Whether you spill alcohol and food on me, spit on me, okay again. But I will not tolerate anyone attacking one of my friends!".
However in Jaya, the band of Bellamy also attacks Zoro and Luffy does nothing.

Because to him, Zoro is someone he's willing to just downright share his pain with. He doesn't feel the need to protect or coddle- and he's fine his right hand going through shit over his own incentive (or perhaps Zoro understood, too).

Bellamy vs Zoro does not end with Bellamy alive if Zoro is serious. Oda has to nerf Zoro out of certain fights because he would literally murder people.

If it was a weaker Strawhat Luffy would've bodied them but I still think it was a cheap imitation. I never liked the scene, though the pay off with the Bellamy one-shot was great.

The diference is: Zoro could murder every single one of Belami's pirates if he wanted to, kid Luffy couldnt defend himself against mountain bandits.

Not sure what your point is but they could have killed Luffy and Zoro and they would have died without fighting back.

Bad moment for Luffy and not sure if it was good moment for Zoro for trusting so hard in his captain(stupid captain).
