Introduce a reward system for successful reports.

Half a month gojover. Nothing changed.

Bump. Reward people for reporting bots, and take care of reports quickly.
Without someone starting to cultivate a solution there won't be any teamwork between normal users and staff.

I think this kind of reward system is tacky, you should be campaigning and pressuring staff to find a way to clean up bots more efficiently if the current way is failing now. That has failed? Maybe?

An addon could fix the majority of this, no idea who has those types of perms.
Don't do drudge work for the staff, you're not going to enjoy this place when you start down this road and if you're appointed as mod with a democratic structure - to put it bluntly - you'll be in hell.

Reward/incentives/etc should always be for community participation that's actually fun.

So here's my bizarre suggestion for you instead: If you really, reealllly want to help with the bot problem work with some mods open to your idea and make a collect a bot event where whoever reports the most within X amount of time gets a prize. If the community shows interest in this, you may gain more traction and voices to reduce the problem. Could run it monthly, if we assume some mods agree to work alongside people during the event. Fast-paced, countdowns, chaos.

Whatever happens afterwards is up to the mod's on whether the bot cleaning is a priority after the kooky, fun track the bots event or whatever.
