Depends on if the versatility doesn't compromise the work/skill of each subject honestly, you don't really want to be a jack of all trades, but master of none.

I think one dimensional people are boring,but from a professional stand point,i believe being a specialist makes you more valuable.

Professionally speaking, Not really, you can have expertise in one domain and have other skillsets as well. Versatility keeps things interesting.
