People in concentration camps didn't dream about sex, instead they dreamt of eating good food. There is an hierarchy among needs. Sex, affection and romance is definitely a need for the majority of people.

There are personality disorders that cause people to be asexual as well as physiological conditions. Not saying its the case with you. If you have a desire for sex and you can't satiate it, this will bring suffering to you. People are different, some people are like you, some aren't. Don't generalize.

I don't think you understand. Sex is VERY important for me. I love the F out of it. I'm the literal opposite of an asexualand you could even say that in some case I can even be addicted to it.

And yes, for a huge portion of the population, a romantic relationship will be something that they long for and is in their checklist for a fulfilled life. I’m not saying it’s everyone but it is almost everybody. Don’t even try to deny that. Most people will place a huge significance to it throughout multiple points in their life.

And if you had listened to what we just said, you would know that Maslow's hierarchy of needs is unscientific. The fact that it is taught massively is not a testimony of the relevancy of this theory, it's just a testimony of problems with the field of psychology.
