Speculations Is it delusional at this point to think Zoro won’t fight King?

It seems very obvious at this point that Oda wants Zoro to fight King.

1. Luffy literally told Zoro to leave Kaido to him, and Zoro agreed. It would be extremely out of character for Zoro to not trust Luffy when Luffy promises that he can handle Kaido without Zoro’s help. Not to mention there would be no point in removing Zoro from the rooftop just to bring him back there.

2. Zoro pretty much always fights the 2nd strongest of the organization present in the arc. Zoro fought Cabaji, Zoro fought Hachi, Zoro fought Mr. 1, Zoro fought Ohm, Zoro fought Kaku, and Zoro fought Ryuma (Oars was technically the strongest zombie, but he was a group fight, so Zoro still fought the strongest opponent when it comes to 1v1 fights), and Zoro fought Pica. The only exception is PH, which was just a side arc and not one that was supposed to be fight-centric. There was really only one serious fight in PH anyways.

3. All of the other core Beast Pirates are being taken out by SHs (and before anyone brings up Jack, I believe that Inu being the one to beat Jack is nearly impossible for a plethora of reasons that I won’t mention right now because going into all the reasons why it would make no sense would make this post way too long).

4. Marco made it clear that he believes it’s the new generation’s time to shine. It would be odd for Oda to write this detail in, only to have Marco be the one to beat the 2nd most important member of the Beast Pirates

Yeah, Luffy promised to beat Kaidou, and Luffy failed, and now Yamato is stalling Kaidou.
Also it's not out of Zoro's character

Agree with other points. I myself believe that Zoro will fight King, but it's not delusional to believe that Zoro might get back to Kaidou.

Lol Zoro and Sanji literally called bullshit on Luffy being defeated for good
So? Zoro doesn't believe Luffy is defeated for good, but Luffy is out of commission now, and Zoro, not knowing Yamato is stalling Kaidou, might feel obligated to go help stall Kaidou till Luffy returns.
It's no difference than the Oars fight, they all trust Luffy to win, but once Luffy is out of commission, they all take upon themselves to deal with Oars and Moria TILL Luffy returns.

People are so afraid of Zoro going against Kaido again since they wouldn't be able to try and push Zoro and Sanji close cuz fighting commanders.

LMAOOOOOO.

Just like before the roof. Just now. You all will witness.
:luffylaugh:
Yes Oda constantly sets up Zoro and Sanji being rivals, only to make Zoro capable of low/mid diffing Sanji. Makes sense. Sanji will always be a high diff for Zoro

Guess Oda wrote in 2200 vs 2180 for no reason. You can’t just ignore clear-cut portrayal just because you don’t like it
I can.

Sanji is no match for Zoro. He is too weak and the gap won't lower any time soon since Zoro will also progress more and more.

What Sanji has? Diable Jambe? Hells memories? Raid Suit which is only mild dura boost and majorly a speed boost? That's good against vets who don't use Haki properly.

We will see how Queen match go.

The problem is that you guys care way more about “feats” than Oda does (and a lot of you guys aren’t even great at analyzing these feats). Oda doesn’t care much about feats. He will make characters as strong as they need to be in order to please the story

Even if we would to talk about the plot and what Zoro and Sanji aim for.

Zoro wants to be WSS = One of the strongest combatants in the world.

Sanji wants to see some fucking fish pond. + the emphasis on Sanji not being too interested in fighting rather than cooking.

That shit which people call "rivarly" is made up of ship arguing and panel jokes with funny angry faces from both of them.

And Whitebeard’s dream was to have a family, so going by your logic, WB should have been much weaker than Roger because his dream had nothing to do with strength while Roger’s dream of becoming PK was very strongly related to strength

Zoro will fight King, but it's hard to tell if he is going to do more because nobody knows how much time is left until the Elixir wears off.

The delusional part of Zoro fans that think Zoro is the protagonist will get surprised soon with Zoro vs King and Sanji vs Queen

:sanmoji: :zosleepy: :lulz:
That doesn't make them equal. LEt's do a headcount of how Oda potrayed Zoro and Sanji throughout Onigashima shall we?
Zoro:
- Defeated Apoo
- Scared the shit out of Queen by force
- Participated in the fight against 2 Yonkou
- Blocked the most powerful attack in the series so far, left a scar on the strongest creature
- Fight King
Sanji
- Clashed with King
- Got tricked by Black Maria, only saved by Robin
- Fight Queen
So you see, even if Zoro is fighting King, that doesn't make Zoro an equal to Sanji
