Do you think it's possible Kidd's name includes a D, and he hid it by calling himself Kidd, only wanting to wait to reveal it to Shamrock, who he thought is Shanks, after he defeats him?

Because even Law as a kid heard the Ds are the natural enemies of the "gods", and it may be a paralle of Law, as a kid he heard to hide his D name, but Kidd wore it more making it his main name,

That'd be pretty cool. It'd make the Captain trio all Ds as well, and rejuvenate the Jika agenda.

But I don't think Oda likes Kidd enough to do it.

Plus Kidd is his last name, so it would be Eustass Kid D.? What would that make his real name?

About that, I'm pretty sure Kidd's based on the similarly unlucky IRL Captain William Kidd, so it's likely his real name.

But him having a secret surname might be a possibility.

Yeah he seems close enough to his crew, so I could see that happen.
