Years ago, I was walking alone and saw an innocent women who was getting harassed and bullied by group of thugs, who had tattoos that's clear to me they're affiliated with prominent mafia gangs.

As soon as she catches eye with me,
I could tell she was so hopeful I would do something. I then immediately put my sunglasses, and pretending that I didn't see anything and walk fastly to GTFO from that place.

if its a fair duel which are rare.. then i won't interrupt

if its someone ganging over someone close I'll still try to stop the fight to minimalize the escalation

Since the adrenaline and pride level experience stonks deescalations seem unlikely as well then force is required to break up the fight being bias in such situation isn't helping the situation in totality

if its one sided and someone is getting bullied and then not jumping in would be cowardice
