Tbh it is really hard to predict what Oda might do with Kidd.
Law’s chacterization can let us imagine that he can ally himself with the Strawhats or another force or work under someone for a time to advance his plans.
But Kidd? He is not really fond of allliance (as shown in Wano) and he is not the kind to work under anyone. But he is not strong enough to be a threat by himself. He has to get allies or have a certain numbers of people working under him to be a threat in the One Piece race.
He has to rebuild a ship but did he has any money to do so? How many of his crew member survived? Are they willing to continue after the utter destruction they suffered ?
At the same time it is hard to imagine that he will not reappear at one point in the story or that he will not try anymore to fight for the top of the pirate world.
The best scenario for him is to be rescued by the man with the burning scar. And have that guy trained him. That would be a organic way to make him come back stronger and with plot relevance. He would still have to find stronger crewmates (why not free Weevil) but it would be a good start.
As always in op if there isn't a body they are still alive. Oda leaves it open for his characters to be saved if there isn't a body. It's the same with bm and kaido still being in question. Oda can easily write a background character in that somewhere near the event not seen on panel come in and save the character if he decides to bring them back.
On the one hand I hope not, would be a lot of wasted potential by Oda.
On the other hand, the story could continue without him rather seamlessly.
Both roads worth traveling, up to him I guess.
