I guess youre right, hmm well I have a question. Is there anyone on the Qin side I can root for? Kanki was the goat and my man for this but after his death I dont know who to root for. I dont really care for anyone on the Qin's side too much. Maybe the MC a bit but thats about it.

Absolutely. Though I guess it depends on what you’re looking for.

The Qin MVP post Kanki is probably Tou. He does very well against the Chu. Moubu not so much but he comes face to face with an absolute monster.

As for the big players in Zhao, IE Ousen, Yotanwa, Shin, and Ouhon…well, unfortunately Riboku and Shibashou run an absolute train on them and unfortunately it seems like Qin may already be checkmated after only one day of battle…I don’t want to spoil anything historically about the Riboku and Shibashou duo but needless to say, there is a reason Riboku cements his legacy as one of the four greatest generals in the history of this entire 500 year era of warfare.

IMO Kanki was always the least well written out of the current Qin GGs. Lol

Is there even a MC in kingdom?

There are two. But Kingdom MCs are not messiahs like in other series. Oda for example basically never leaves Luffy’s POV, whereas Hara gives all of his characters POVs and chances to shine.

Not really
Vinland is more character focused i guess and how people are affected from war etc..
Kingdom is about the historical unification of china and how the state of Qin subjugated the other states
Vinland never had the political conflicts or scale of battles or the diffrent tactics, strategies etc.. generals use to defeat the armies of hundreds of thousands in front of them.
If Thorfinn joined Canut and they started attacking other countries then it would be like Kingdom.

Anyway, Kingdom and Vinland Saga have almost nothing in common lol.

I have been reading it since 2017, the pacing can at times get slow so its better to take breaks and then read it in one go. Read almost 70 chapters in these past 2 days and almost caught up.

Kingdom is an amazing manga, whether its about the warfare or politics.

Absolutely but if you're sick and tired of Riboku and Zhao wait just a bit longer. We're currently in what seems like the last major confrontation between Qin and Zhao and the battle is about to end.

And why random soldiers/generals popping out of nowhere is a bad thing anyway?

The more we invade into the deeper territories, there's bound to be new generals/more soldiers showing up as there's something called "reserve army".

That's like saying Kantan Royal Guard are asspulls because they appear out of nowhere but in reality, they've been there all along.

Not sure why people complain about this. When random generals from Qin appears, no one bats an eye but when random generals appear from Zhao, it's suddenly asspulls now lol?
