  • She is a grandma with brain disorder. Despite that, she has a good heart to create the unite world with all races
  • She needed to shorten her lifespan (not much left with her age) in order to survive from two men youngsters bullying her
  • She got backstabbed after deciding to spare Law and Kids lives. So she has a broken rib and need to shorten her lifespan again
  • She is helpless and needed to beg Law to stop using the dangerous technique
  • She got disrespected by Jinbe, Robin, Franky, and Brook
  • She and her crews got humiliated by King, resulting in amnesia
  • She got captured by Queen easily
  • Her crew is also very incompetent. Where are they now?
  • She and her entire army got humiliated by half of strawhat crew in WCI
Man. I think she deserves better than this :josad:

And despite all that, she's still the second strongest character in the series. If she didn't get nerfed by incompetency then she might have well be the strongest character. But Loda said no and we can't do anything about it.

And the "saddest" character is gotta be either Marco or Drake.

her backstory quite sad , she is too big to control and can go into vionet rage with power , end up into mother carmel a trafficker pretend as holy nun who help giant kids ,(eaten?) her fellow friends and mother carmel and traumatized by it although she dosen,t remember she only remember they all leave her alone
but in the end it.s streusen that made big mom into BM nowdays a selfish prick who bullying others island and tax people with their souls , so yeah she have very very shitty guardians first carmel then streusen .

She can't run business she way too incompetent. Maybe her children could run the business for her like how they run her territories but she very likely to eat all the candies and have them run out of money...
Being pirates and robbing people is the only way for this family to survive just look what happened in Elbaf because they didn't have enough food for her.

If by "sad" you mean that she is a pathetic clown show that is surrounded by garbage writing then yes, she is hands down the "saddest" character in the entirety of One Piece.

If by "sad" you mean that she is a genuinely tragic character that we as readers should feel sympathy for then no, absolutely not. Linlin is hands down one of the most petty, sadistic and downright evil characters in the entire series.

This is a woman who sent an assassin to murder a man's sick parent because he explained in advance how he couldn't attend her vain Tea Party because he needed to go to the funeral of his other parent.

Linlin deserves no sympathy whatsoever.
