Character Discussion Is Mihawk important for the storyline?

We can kill Shanks off if you want..his role in manga is over now.

Before the Cross Guild establishment, I didn't think Mihawk will appear again until the Final War/endgame material, but now he's getting more spotlight lately so he's probably gonna play a major role near the end of the series.

He's not a major character. He will probably be treated like King in the end.

if he isnt relevant to luffy or fighting luffy

hes just a random irrelevant henchman

 

[Dick Gayson]

He is Zoro's main obstacle to achieving his goal.
He is also Zoro's mentor (kind of) since he taught him (in his own way) for 2 years.
He seems to particularly loath marines.
Now that he's a part of C.G , I'm sure he has a future role in the storyline too.

Zoro thought he can beat wss in east blue seriously . And mihawk show the gap and show how much way he need to go literally. After mihawk , zoro character also changed too much . So , if we can delete him , we cannot understand definition of top league in beginning of the manga
