God, noโฆhe is so awful. Just a one dimensional static character whoโs whole identity is him failing to remember anyoneโs name and screaming about being the Pirate King.
And then thereโs of course the Nika fruit which irreparably fucked most of Odaโs world building, the fact that the Gorosei let a literal child run around with a mythical fruit that has evaded them for 800 years but never sent one assassin or cipher Pol agent to kill him while he was young and weak, but only attempted to prevent him from awakening the fruit by the time he fought Kaido was just so atrocious.
Fairy condom is easily one of the shittiest aspects of this story if not the single shittiest.

Get power up just because somebody crying

Lol. He is easily the worst character in OP. One piece without Luffy will have better tension, world building, believability, and power scaling.
Luffy is just a walmart version of Buggy. Basically, he is just a stupid child just got lucky to have everything destined and equipped to be the pirate king. In orther word, everyone who has nika fruit, luck, and lineage similar to luffy will be able to accomplish the same thing no matter how dump they are.

Absolutely nothing. He is a character that only appeal to dumb teenages and retarded grown-asses.
A example of well-written protagonist is Caesar the chimpanzee from Planet of the Apes's 2011 reboot. He has a genius-level intellect,is very serious and still have a golden heart,he accept the world just as harsh as it is and died a glorious death after live a glorious life.

My definition of a good character, is a character who goes through character development and doesn't get handed everything to him/her for free. Luffy is the opposite of character development lol. He is the same static character doing the same cut and paste formula antics he has been doing since chapter 1. It was fun the first few hundred chapters but after Marineford you would expect him to grow as a character but instead he has regressed.
